HFC Systems chooses Suntech's Network Inventory  April 28, 2009

\"\"HFC Systems, Polish company providing services for Triple-Play carriers, has signed an agreement on the implementation of Suntech’s Network Inventory. 

Network Inventory, which uses the ESRI GIS platform, is an advanced tool for stock-taking and designing networks for Triple Play services (telephone, Internet and TV). This will enable HFC Systems, which specialises in designing and maintaining cable networks, to increase the efficiency of network design, maintenance and expansion services. 

HFC Systems uses Network Inventory for recording network resources, as well as the cable, optical and transmission connections of its clients. The system enables modelling and keeping records of physical and logical network resources, providing benefits in the form of effective network design, efficient failure management and rapid checking of the availability of services to subscribers.

“We have recently been observing very fast technological developments in the telecommunications sector resulting in increasing complexity of the networks being built. Fast and unrestricted access to information on network resources, as well as failure management are very important elements of the quality of services offered by the operator, while precise inventory information allows for optimisation and savings in the process of maintaining the network and installations, as well as other technical tasks,” believes Eugeniusz Grzybek, President of HFC Systems – “We made a decision to embark on a project aimed at offering new services based on inventory data, which requires an advanced IT platform filled with data on the networks in order to be implemented.  Of the many systems we analysed before making the final decisions, in our opinion, Suntech’s proposal proved to be the best and satisfied our expectations to the greatest extent.”
